The fee for provided legal services is primarily subject to an agreement between the client and the attorney.

It can be negotiated as:

  • Fixed fee for a defined legal service,
  • Hourly fee,
  • Contingency fee (percentage fee based on the subject of the dispute),
  • Flat monthly fee for a pre-defined scope of legal services.

Unless otherwise agreed, the fee is governed by the provisions of Decree No. 177/1996 Coll., on Attorney Fees and Compensation for Attorneys for Providing Legal Services (Attorney Tariff) regarding non-agreed fees. It is determined by multiplying the rate for one legal service action (determined based on the subject of legal services) by the number of these actions (defined by the Attorney Tariff; such actions may include taking on and preparing representation, drafting a lawsuit, representing during negotiations, defending during questioning, main hearings, drafting appeals, etc.).

For each legal service action, a flat reimbursement of actual expenses of 300 CZK needs to be added. Additionally, the fee includes reimbursement of actual expenses not covered in the mentioned flat reimbursement. This particularly applies to travel expenses for trips outside the city of Brno, court fees, and other related expenses.
